NAVIGON launched the Android version of its MobileNavigator app today. The popular navigation app for iOS includes free Traffic Live and the new Reality Scanner, an augmented reality feature that identifies points of interest using your camera. Other features include:
- on-device maps for usage when you do not have cellular signal
- RealityView Pro- 3D views of roads, road signs, and exits
- NAVIGON MyRoutes- uses your driving habits, location information, and time of day to calculate different routes to your destination
- NAVIGON Red Lights Camera- provides an advanced warning of red lights and known speed cameras
- Lane Assistant Pro- provides arrows and lane geometry to make exiting and turning easier
- Speed Assistant- audible alarms that alerts drivers of their speed
- text-to-speech navigation
- Day & Night mode
- 2D/3D maps that can be used in portrait or landscape view
- Direct access to the contact information stored in the phone’s address book
- integrated Google Local search
