このブログは、拡張現実 及び 仮想現実 が使用された最新の情報と事例などを掲載しています。---This blog publishes latest information and the case where AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) are used, etc.
So we've all seen examples of Augmented Reality (AR). Most of the AR we've seen so far has an AR marker that triggers an overlay of digital information on top of the physical world. This is great if you're just looking for additional information or learning more interesting, but what about entertainment and playing with the digital information?
This Augmented Reality demo was made by Frontier Vision and the Irrlicht engine on a Windows Vista based PC. This clip shows how to "touch" with a hand the 3D model. It's rather entertaining watching the hand trip this mininarature character standing on top of the marker on top of this card. In fact it almost looks like a card from a trading card game. Imagine playing "Magic: The Gathering" card game with this technology, it would be so entertaining! For kids you could literally give them a new toy to play with by simply printing out another card!
The world's first ever Immersive Technology Summit will be held at the Los Angeles Center Studios (LACS) on October 14th, 2010.
