Shotgun Showdown is a competitive, two player handheld augmented reality game. The game is played on top of a pair of US paper bills, putting the game space on top of the square formed by the money. The game is inspired by the idea of a western-themed shooting gallery, and the content is modeled as 2D cardboard cutouts.
This game was developed by Chris Ehsaei (MS Electrical Engineering) and Andrew Colella (MS Music Technology) in the Qualcomm Augmented Reality Game Studio at Georgia Tech (http://www.argamestudio.org).This Qualcomm-funded research studio is a collaborative effort between the Augmented Environments Lab at Georgia Tech, and the Interactive Design and Game Development program at Savannah College of Art and Design. The Studio is led by Blair MacIntyre (GT) and Tony Tseng.
