Recently, while snowboarding, I injured my shoulder and went for an MRI. When I met with the orthopedic surgeon, he examined me and then had to step out of the room and to a computer terminal to review the MRI. Meanwhile, I waited patiently in the examination room. The orthopedic surgeon returned about five minutes later, and he told me that I had a fractured humerus bone and a torn rotator cuff.
