    Started my morning listening to Digital-Age Teaching & Learning : Innovative Learning Technologies, The 2012 Horizon Report K-12 Edition with Larry Johnson, The New Media Consortium with Leslie Conery and Keith Krueger. The Horizon Project, a longitudinal study, yearly identifies emerging technologies of which to take note:

    1. Mobile Devices and Apps
    2. Game-Based Learning
    3. Tablet Computing
    4. Personal Learning Environments
    5. Augmented Reality
    6. Natural User Interfaces

    The New Horizon Project is conducted by The NMC (New Media Consortium), an international community of experts in educational technology whose goal is to advance “current education models to forms that are more engaging, effective, and inclusive” (NMCwebsite 6.29.2012).
