A company called Silicon Micro wants to get on the augmented reality game before Google does.
Google's Project Glass is an ambitious idea that will most likely define the augmented reality industry. It's a very niche market right now but Google wants to bring it to the mainstream.
Unfortunately, you'll look like you're from a bad 1980s sci-fi movie with these glasses, and you'll also need to be plugged into a battery pack.
The ST1080 glasses have a retail price of $799.

An innovative way to present the LEGO Star Wars toys, seen in a store in London this week. The "augmented display", rather than augmented reality, allows special effects to appear on LEGO toys with a mirror system. A brilliant idea! They do well to specify that toys sold can not do that sort of special effects at home, otherwise the children will be disappointed! This system also was applied to the LEGO Friends

ARworks has created a virtual, Augmented Reality fashion show for Vodafone.The telecom company sponsored a contest (Buttoned UP -- Gombold Újra) made for fashion designers and the 11 winner creation of the contest were and are presented in Augmented Reality -- as a channel in the top free AR browser, Junaio.
The special Panoramic AR technology used here, is actually the 3rd type of Augmented Reality besides the well known image recognition (marker) and geolocation based ones.

Both stamps, featuring a rodeo horse and a silver and gold belt buckle, were designed by Calgary graphic artist Xerxes Irani - who admits he broke down and cried uopn learning his designs had been chosen. The high-tech stamps are also the first "Augmented reality" product introduced by Canada post allowing users to play games on their smartphones.
