草津宿街道交流館の2階展示室には、江戸時代の草津宿のまちなみを200分の1で再現した模型がありますが、お手持ちのスマートフォン(Android)か貸出するタブレットを使ってカメラ越しにこの模型を見ると、モニター上にやじさん・きたさんが登場して説明を行う、AR(拡張現実)システムを導入しました。
・これは、タブレットかスマートフォンのカメラを、模型の中の10か所に設置してあるマーカーに向けると、それぞれの場所について、やじさん・きたさんが2分程度の説明を行うものです。
・模型上に設置したマーカーは10カ所。東海道・中山道の道筋や役割、本陣・脇本陣、問屋場などのはたらきなどを説明します。

英国ARMは、2011年11月10日、マルチコアGPU「Mali-T658」を発表した。Mali-T658はコアを最大8個まで拡張でき、同社の既存GPU「Mali-400 MP」の最大10倍のグラフィックス性能を提供する。
Mali-400 MPは、韓国Samsung Electronicsの「Galaxy S II」や「Galaxy Note」など多数のスマートフォンで採用されている。Mali-T658は、演算性能もARMの既存GPU「Mali-T604」の4倍となっている。Mali-T604を搭載する製品はまだ市場に登場していない。
Mali-T658の優れた性能は、より高度なHDゲームの実現に利用されるほか、拡張現実(AR)など新しい計算集約型アプリケーションの登場に道を開くだろうと、ARMは述べている。同GPUはスマートフォンに加え、タブレットやスマートTV、車載エンターテインメント・システムにも採用される見通しという。

By following the pin drop on the featured map within the app and snapping photos of virtual objects, players ‘capture’ the toys before they can cause even more ruckus.
Two runaways will remain within three areas of each city for a total of three weeks each. Thus giving a player present in one city a total of six chances to win among a selection of the most exclusive Designer Toy prizes available in the six week long campaign.
