Demonstration of augmented reality game which utilises the Kinect.
The Kinect Interface was achieved using the OpenNI librariies, the PrimeSense sensor module, with the NITE package used for skeleton tracking.
The "Ninja Vanish" was achieved using OpenCV (EMGUCV) to maintain a background image.
The Wiimote input utilised the WiimoteLIb library.

(via YouTube)This is a technical demo for face substitution technique. The application works in real time and it's developed using the opensource framework for creative coding openFrameworks: openFrameworks.cc
Most of the "magic" happens thanks to Jason Saragih's c++ library for face tracking web.mac.com/jsaragih/FaceTracker/FaceTracker.html. The face tracking library returns a mesh that matches the contour of the eyes, nose, mouth and other facial features.
That way the mesh obtained from a photo is matched to my own face in the video. Applying some color interpolation algorithms from Kevin Atkinson's image clone code: methodart.blogspot.com/ gives it the blending effect that can be seen in the final footage.
I'm also using Kyle McDonald's ofxFaceTracker addon for openframeworks github.com/kylemcdonald/ofxFaceTracker which wraps Jason's library for easier use.
Kyle has uploaded another video giving a try at a different blending algorithm, which get rids of the artifacts and an even creepier look: vimeo.com/29348533

A virtual entity could assume all three dimensions and interact with the real world- and that’s exactly what we did for the beautiful Hatsune Miku in this most recent development for Toyota.
metaio used the junaio Plugin to develop this app for a Toyota, a feature that combines the technology, audience (1.7 Million Downloads) and accessibility of junaio, the most advanced mobile Augmented Reality browser, with the added value of a custom branded white-label application. We were able to use the same superior image recognition technology and tracking algorithm as we use in junaio to integrate this experience directly into Toyota’s mobile app as if it were a white-label application. Even better, the modular structure of the Plugin allows content to be easily and efficiently modified and changed, making the junaio Plugin a great development and branding solution.

The goal of Telefonica's IRIS project is to develop a service that provides information related to an object just by taking a picture of it. The object needs no special packaging, tag or marker. For this objective, Telefónica I+D has developed and patented proprietary visual recognition technology. This technology enables the identification of objects such as supermarket products, logos, posters, or paintings among others. The collaboration of this project with Layar is framed within the Open Innovation initiative of Telefónica I+D.
