イタリアの "Stazione Futuro"というセクションで公開あさｔれた、Seac02 の幾つかのデモ。



Since the 17th of March up to the 20th of November 2011 in the section "Stazione Futuro. Qui si rifà l'Italia." at OGR it's possible to find two Augmented Reality Installation by Seac02 commissioned by the Committee Italia 150.
The first installation is located in the "Mobility" theme area. Seac02 proposes the concept car "Sesto Elemento" by Lamborghini. The visitors can see the car in their hands in Augmented Reality.
The second installation is located in the "Energy" area and tells, through augmented reality and interactive images, the genesis of coal plant in Saline Joniche. Showing a six-sided cube at the the webcam, visitors can see videos and descriptive images in augmented reality based on Seac02 Flash texture traking technology

Model of car that turns on rotorplatform. Opening and shutting and the color substitution of the door can be done by holding six markers in hand by the finger.

LCPlush が Layar の AR技術を使用したARストアで手作りのぬいぐるみを販売。ARで商品を紹介し更にカスタムメイドの商品を提供していきたいという。





The multitalented Celine Mornet (known professionally as LutinCapuche) may be a Flash developer by trade, but she also has a creative outlet that allows her to step away from the computer monitor: designing and sewing stuffed animals (or “plushes,” to be exact).

Celine started making these plushes purely or fun; she displayed her little handmade creatures online but didn’t intend to sell any until people started asking to buy them from her. She then decided to make purchases easier by creating an online store, and has recently made the experience more fun by also selling them in Augmented Reality.

At the end of the day, the goal is to build a kind of huge LCPlush exhibition and organize some contests with plushes as prizes,” she says.
Celine plans to do more projects with Herve, but also plans to develop new, complex layers on her own using her newly-acquired Layar development skills.

街中をスマートフォンのカメラを通して見る。すると、クーポン等のお得情報がARブラウザで表示され容易に見つけられ、そのサービスが利用できる。地域差は有るが、世界的に展開されているサービスのようだ。

You see the town inside through the camera of a smart phone. Then, profitable information in the coupon etc. is displayed by AR a browser. The regional variation is like the service developed worldwide though it is. 

 

Matt Moskowitz, Director of Marketing Communications for8Coupons.com sent use a nice email earlier today to introduce the site’s new iPhone app. It’s called ideals and since Matt does an excellent job of describing how it works and the benefits of using iDeals, I’ll let him tell you all about it.

8coupons, the largest source of local deals and daily deals, has FINALLY launched its iPhone app, equipped with every deal imaginable – 552,061 to be exact. We know we’re quite late, and Dealmap has an app out there, but we spent some time convincing a few of our biggest partners to get with the mobile program.

Also, the app is equipped with a really neat Augmented Reality view which allows users to see where deals are hiding while walking down the street. Wonderful for urban deal seekers. We call it iDeals.

これは、ユニーク。ダンサーの動きを真似るのではない。ロボットが、ダンサーの表現する感情を読み取り、一緒にダンスを行うようだ。

This is unique. Dancer's movement is not mimicked. The robot seems to read feelings that the dancer expresses, and to dance together. 



In the frame of the ANR project CARE (Cultural experience: Augmented Reality and Emotions), we developed a movement-based emotion recognition software. In this video, expressed emotions from a professional dancer are recognized, and used to generate emotional poses of a humanoid robot.

インド発のARナビゲーションシステム。初めての場所でも、スマートフォンを空間にかざすと方向を示してくれる。時間を無駄にせず、目的が達成出来るというもの。

AR navigation system from India. A smart phone is indicated and the direction is indicated also in the first place when sitting in the space. Time is not wasted, and the purpose can be achieved.

The system concept can be split into two broad areas -- availability of dynamic information and visualization of factual information over real-life sights. We bend the definition of a conventional ticket and modify it by embedding a QR code which enables the user to access dynamic information at all times. This means that he / she can check for unpredictable information like train delays, cancellation, waiting list confirmation and the platform number for the arrival of a particular train. It is time to bid farewell to those hectic moments.

We go ahead to exploit the possibilities modern-day AR (Augmented Reality) systems have to offer to create a LiveGuide which superimposes dynamic information onto real life scenarios. This gives us the chance to create spatial Tags which are locked by means of geolocation. These tags potentially create an invisible layer of information connectedwith spaces which can be retrieved upon requirement. The app also locates known people (Facebook friends) who are in proximity to facilitate social interactions within their friend networks. This is a powerful tool to find known people who might be travelling parallely and whose social intersections would have gone unnoticed otherwise.

Programming for junaio, Layar and Wikitude  - 初のスマートフォン向けARのプログラミングガイドではないかな。これらのサービス、バージョンアップが頻繁に行われているから、簡単に更新できる電子書籍が良いね。



Without doubt writing around 80,000 words about a technology that changes quicker than superman in a phone box has been the most difficult thing I have ever done.  I’m considering writing a follow up, there are so many new technologies that are about to become big, StringAR, Viewdle to name a couple but we’ll see. If you are interested in AR development and want to learn how easy it is to create AR Browser content for Layar, junaio and Wikitude as well as natural feature tracking channels with junaio you can find the book here. スマートフォンでシーンや写真を撮影し、アプリ側でタグ付けを行うアプリケーションのようだ。まだ試していないため何とも言えないが、ARと呼ぶアプリでなくて良い気がする。シーン認識技術と画像処理技術のみでも十分実用的なアプリになるのではないか。

The scene and the photograph are taken with a smart phone, and the application tagged on the application program side. The nature that may not be the application program that is called AR does though it is not possible to say indescribably because it has not tried yet. It is likely to become a very only a scene recognition technology and a picture processing technique practicable application programs.

Demo of sensor fusion for augmented reality running on an iPad 2. The front of this building has been preprocessed to serve as a visual marker. The iPad's camera detects the image to get an initial estimate of where the user is standing and how the iPad is oriented in space. After that, the camera and the gyros/accelerometer in the iPad work together to keep the overlay aligned, even when the building goes out of view or isn't detected by the vision algorithm.

May 3 (Bloomberg) -- Augmented-reality glasses made by Vuzix Corp. may allow soldiers on the ground to coordinate with unmanned drones in the air. Vuzix signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to develop glasses to work with military drones. 最近少しずつ流行りつつある、テーブル形式の認識技術、ゲームや、レストランのメニューやサイネージで利用出来る。ここで紹介されているゲームの名前は、GEKITSUIOH GAME (撃墜王ゲーム) ということなので、日本発？。技術的には、Adobe の AIR 2.0 と 形状認識技術のOpenCVを使用して実装しているとのこと。



At FITC Toronto 2011 I got to see Doodle War, the English version of a very cool augmented reality game from Japan called the GEKITSUIOH GAME, made by Coconoe Inc. It was build using Adobe Air 2.0 & OpenCV.
Each combatant is drawn by the player on a game card that is scanned into the game by a camera, and the stats of your ship are determined by the shape, size and colours used to create it.
It was nominated for the 'Award for Technical Excellence' at the 2011 FITC Awards, and won the award for 'Best Experimental Flash'
