In just a year, Aurasma announced that it has signed more than 6,000 partners to deliver their augmented reality (AR) applications across multiple industries. Thanks to those partnerships and a little ingenuity, Aurasma-based apps have been downloaded more than 4 million times. Aurasma has also decided to celebrate their 1st anniversary a little more differently.
Below is an infographic that displays the year of growth for augmented reality. However, Aurasma users are in for a treat. It’s AR-enabled and it comes to life when you view it through your Aurasma-enabled camera on your mobile phone or tablet.
LTG met with Aurasma’s Director of Marketing Lauren Offers back in March to talk in detail more about the company’s future plans. With these milestones, Aurasma celebrates its 1st year in business with much fanfare and a strong start.

A promócióban a látogatók kézbe vettek egy különleges kockát, melynek helyén, azt bárhogy is tartották, feltűnt egy fantasztikus bajnoki kupa. A serleg az Augmented Reality technológia segítségével került, persze csak az iPad képernyőjén, az alkalmi drukkerek kezébe. Az iPad brandingelt képét, wifi segítségével LED TV-n is láthatták a látogatók, de egyúttal ki is nyomtattuk valamint e-mailben el is küldtük a promócióban résztvevőknek.
A fotózás során a résztvevők mögött egy stadiont ábrázoló óriási print is volt - így a fotókon már teljesen úgy tűnt, mintha a vásárlók tényleg a focipálya sztárjai lennének.
Az itt használt AR technológia különlegessége volt, hogy - talán elsőként - alkalmaztunk térbeli, 3 dimenziós markert - azaz bárhogy, bármelyik oldalával tartotta a látogató a kockát a kamera elé, annak helyén,a zon mindig láható volt a kupa.
A kocka mellett síkbeli markert is készítettünk, melyen szintén megjelenik a serleg. Mindkét marker. a kocka összehajtható formában, letölthető az alábbi linkről és fekete fehérben kinyomtatva megjelenik rajta a kupa.
Debut at Jon Olick's Keynote presentation HPG2012 conference, this Augmented Reality game aims to blur the lines between the real and the synthetic. It showcases breath taking new rendering techniques for real-time augmented reality. The game is based in the world of Firefall by Red 5 Studios.

The sample work is a 2:47 minute video: "AR SoundScape Proof of Concept" in three parts. 1) Demonstration of "SoundScape: Witches" as viewed on iPad using Junaio augmented reality browser at Green Hill Cemetery, Greenport NY. This proof of concept soundscape limits itself to four located images, each image producing a slightly different reading of Act 1 Scene 1 of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. 2) Three AR Busts from Garden of Villa dei Pini installation, Bogliasco ITALY. 3) Several photos of the augmented reality busts with visitors at the opening in April 2012.
